Moments: Photo Organizer

Privacy Policy

Effective

Summary

Moments processes your photo and video library on your iPhone. The developer does not collect, store, receive or share your personal data and runs no servers. The App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”.

The app’s only network use is Apple’s geocoding service for place names, described below. Sharing files happens only when you choose to share a moment.

Photo library access

Moments asks for access to your photo library so it can group photos and videos into events and find duplicates. It reads capture dates, locations, camera details and image content on the device. This processing happens on your iPhone; photo coordinates may be sent to Apple for place names as explained below.

The app only deletes photos or videos after you confirm. Deletions go through iOS, so items land in Recently Deleted.

What is stored

Moments keeps an index derived from your library, along with your settings and edits, only in the app’s own on-device storage. Deleting the app removes that index, those settings and those edits.

Location names

To name places, Moments uses Apple’s geocoding service (CLGeocoder). This service may send photo coordinates to Apple’s servers to turn them into place names. The service is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

This is the app’s only network use. Moments sends nothing to any server of its own; the developer runs no servers.

No accounts, analytics or ads

There are no accounts, no sign-in, no tracking, no third-party SDKs, no analytics and no advertising.

Sharing

When you share a moment, the files go only to the destination you pick in the iOS share sheet.
